Spot MXF Loudness Check

Validate the loudness of a MXF file against the SPOT recommendations
by BeatRig

Checks the audio (loudness) part of the S.P.O.T. specification in MXF files. These files are the standard for dutch broadcasters like the [STER](https://www.ster.nl/inkoopinformatie/aanleverspecificaties/).

Handling

Input

MXF file conform the S.P.O.T. guidelines. The typical thing about these files is that they contain 8 mono audio stream that together form a stereo and a surround (5.1) stream: - 1 = Left Stereo (Lo/Lt) - 2 = Right Stereo (Ro/Rt) - 3 = Left Front - 4 = Right Front - 5 = Centre - 6 = LFE - 7 = Left Surround - 8 = Right Surround If there is no surround mix channels 3 to 8 should still be present but audio should be muted.

Validate

- 8 mono streams, 1-2 for a required stereo mix, 3-8 for the optional surround mix - 24bits / 48kHz audio format - Program Loudness ‒23 LUFS (±0.5 LU) (required for stereo, surround only if present) - Maximum Short Term Loudness +5 LU (required for stereo, surround only if present) - Maximum Signal Level ‒1 dBTP (required for stereo, surround only if present)
