By default, Magnetron automatically checks for updates in the background and installs them. When an update has been downloaded, you’ll see a notification, and the update will be...
Keeping Magnetron Up to Date
Magnetron can keep itself up to date automatically. This option is enabled by default.
When an update is available, Magnetron downloads it in the background. While the update is downloading, you’ll see a download icon in the upper-right corner of the Recipe Launch window.

You can hover over the icon to show the progress of the download:

Once the download is complete, Magnetron will ask whether you want to restart the app right away to install the update, or install it later the next time you restart Magnetron.

When updating, your settings, recipes, and license will be preserved.
Update settings
You'll find the auto update settings in the Settings > General tab.

Turn Off Automatic Updates
If you don’t want Magnetron to update automatically, you can turn this off in the settings. Go to Settings > General and switch off Auto update Magnetron.APP in the background.
Check for Updates Manually
If automatic updates are turned off, you can still check for updates manually. Go to Settings > General, click Check now under Updates, and follow the instructions.
Beta Updates
If you want to use the very latest version of Magnetron, you can enable Include beta updates. This is useful if, for example, you reported a bug and we’ve already fixed it in a beta release. We recommend leaving this option turned off unless you specifically need access to a beta version.
Manually installing versions
You can also manually install specific versions. You'll find all available versions in the download archive.
